Position Summary:
The Program Manager will work in a fast-paced product development environment with responsibility for daily management of international product development team activities and achievement of program schedule, budget, and design to cost objectives. The programs that this role will impact will be related to fuel systems and pneumatics. This individual will manage a program or combination of programs of broad scope and complexity (e.g. program cost, number and type of customers and internal teams, contract or technical complexity).
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for program management of various component/system product development programs.
2. Responsible for daily management of team activities to include those related to commercial, manufacturing, quality, design, development, validation, and production introduction.
3. Responsible for maintaining program plan and communicating program status to customers.
4. Responsible for ensuring schedule adherence and for meeting program budget and design to cost objectives.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelors degree in engineering, business, or related field, and experience which has provided both technical product and contractual and program management knowledge.
2. Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through ten or more years of increasingly responsible experience including four or more years of high-level program management experience. Certification in Program Management a plus.
3. Must have demonstrated strong leadership ability while operating in a highly demanding environment. Must be able to comprehend complex program issues (programmatic, commercial, and technical) and effectively communicate them to both internal and external customers.
4. Must be proficient in the use of MS Project to develop schedules, allocate resources, and establish program budgets.
5. Must be capable of planning and executing development programs using the Standard Design and Development Process (SDDP).
6. Must be adept at preparing and delivering presentations.
